Bring the timeless charm of an antique oak beam into your home with the safety and durability of modern engineering. Our 48-Inch Geocast® Oak Effect Beams are meticulously molded from a natural, extremely durable, non-combustible mineral composite.
Because they are completely non-combustible, these lightweight beams allow for significantly smaller safety clearance distances to your wood-burning stove or flue pipe than natural timber. Each piece is individually hand-finished by skilled artisans to deliver a highly defined, authentic wood-grain aesthetic.

Critical Installation & Safety Guidelines
To ensure safe operation, comply with local building regulations, and preserve product warranties, please review these structural guidelines:
- Clearance Requirements: Minimum clearance distances apply from the heating appliance. Always consult a qualified professional before installation.
- Zero Direct Contact: Ensure there is absolutely no direct contact between the Geocast beam and any part of your stove, flue pipe, brackets, or register plate.
- Recessing & Positioning: No part of the beam may protrude below the builder’s opening. The rear of the beam must be completely enclosed.
- Structural Limits: Designed exclusively for horizontal wall mounting. This item is not suitable for use as vertical legs or "henge-style" surrounds. Do not cut or structurally alter the beam.
- Wall Substrates: If your chimney breast is bowed, the beam must either be cut-in (chased) or packers must be used behind the brackets. Do not force the beam onto the brackets, as this can induce cracking over time.
- Surface Protection: Never use self-adhesive masking tapes directly on the beam surface during installation, plastering, or painting, as this will permanently damage the hand-applied finish.
- Thermal Safety (Lit Models): The integrated toggle switch can become warm during appliance use. Allow your fire to die down and wait at least 20 minutes before turning off the light switch manually.
Aftercare & Cleaning
- Clean exclusively using a soft, lint-free cloth and warm water.
- Do not use household chemical cleaners, detergents, or abrasive scrubbing pads.
